Remember to be cautious about leaving your pets unattended in automobiles during the warm weather this summer.  We have daycare available for your pets and gladly offer daily or hourly rates to entertain them and keep them safe and happy while you shop or attend to other things.

HELP FOR DOGS WITH ARTHRITIS

Research from Australia has been implemented into a new dog food to relieve the pain of arthritis and control joint inflammation.  The active ingredient is extracted from the essential fatty acids omega 3's and 6's in a very specific balanced formula.

This is very exciting news if you have a dog suffering from arthritis or from inflammatory joint disease.  Hills J/D is the name of the remarkable new dog food.  It is available as a dry kibble or in cans.  Your pet should be slowly introduced to this new food over a 2 to 4 week period.  After your pet has been on the diet for 3 to 6 weeks, you should see noticeable improvement in gait, in comfort levels, and in activity levels.  The feedback from clients concerning this diet is very encouraging.  Everyone loves the improvement in their pet's ability to move around.

Remember to transition onto the new food slowly, and don't forget to close the ziplock top on the food bag to seal in all the freshness.  One side effect of using this new diet is your pet will develop a beautiful, shiny hair coat.

Call us if you have questions about any of the Hill's diets.  If you are interested in J/D Diet, we have a DVD with further information.   J/D Diet is currently available for your pet at Northeast Veterinary Hospital.

MULTI-MODAL APPROACH TO PAIN CONTROL IN ARTHRITIC PETS

We will be glad to discuss a multi-modal approach to the control of pain of arthritis in your pets.  Often, a more comprehensive approach is needed.  We will assess the level of pain and discomfort your pet is experiencing, and formulate a multi-modal plan designed for his/her special needs.

Many of our patients have been able to improve their quality of life through a multi-modal approach to the treatment and control of the pain of arthritis.

Call us today so we can begin helping your pet and providing the comfort he/she deserves.

 NEW FLEA PRODUCTS

If your present flea products are not killing fleas, one of the newer products may be what you need.  Either call us or come by to try Promeris or Comfortis.  How about that for fancy names for flea products?

Our staff will take the time to find the flea product which will be best suited for your pets.
